Description
Thomas T. Tucker, treasurer of the United States, encloses a check drawn on the Bank of the United States for $18,273.05, issued by the Secretary of War, to John Montgomery, mayor of Baltimore. May 28, 1822.

Treasury of the United States, Washington, May 28th 1822 Sir, Enclosed you will find my draft No. 4351 on the Branch of the Bank of the United States, at Baltimore for, dollars, 18.273.05 the amount of warrant No. 9494 issued by the Secretary of War on receipt whereof be pleased to favor me with an early acknowledgement, specifying the sum received. With due consideration, I am, Sir, your obedient servant, Th. T. Tucker Treasurer of the United States. John Montgomery Esq Mayor of Baltimore
