Description
One of four photographs of a game on November 10, 1894 between Wofford and the University of Georgia. The photographs were presented by A. M. Chreitzberg of the class of 1895, who was instructor of gymnaasium in 1897-1899 and later a trustee of Wofford from 1914-1947. He stated that the playing field was located in the vicinity of the since-demolished Jenkins Junior High School on South Church Street, in an area included in the present South Liberty and South Converse streets. Thus the photos were taken in Spartanburg.
