Description
Herman Baer was a tutor at the college in the 1850s and studied the entire curriculum privately. He later became a pharmacist in Charleston and served on the Board of Trustees from 1892-1900. He donated the "benificent" plaque in Main Building in Benjamin Wofford's honor.
