This composite photograph of the Wofford faculty after 1875, when James H. Carlisle had become president. Also pictured, Whitefoord Smith, David Duncan, Warren DuPre (who left around 1876 to become president of Martha Washington College), his son Daniel DuPre, who had been in the preparatory department and succeded Warren DuPre as professor in the sciences, Charles Forster Smith, and an unidentified professor who also possibly taught in the preparatory department, possibly J. A. Gamewell or William Baskervill.
