Description
This warrant for John Hamilton is brought by plaintiffs Jacob Gilliman, Daniel Stroble, Abraham Markley and another man whose last name is illegible, who claim they are owed £174. Signed on front by John Grimke, signed on verso docket by Charles Cotesworth Pinckney.

SOUTH-CAROLINA. THE STATE OF SOUTH-CAROLINA. To all and singular the Sheriffs of the said State, GREETING: You, and each of you, are hereby commanded, without Delay, to attach the Body of [handwritten] John Hamilton otherwise called John Hamilton of Charleston and state aforesaid Carpenter [printed] wheresoever he may be found, within your and each of your respective Districts, so that you compel him to be and appear before the Justices of the said State, at the Court of Common Pleas, to be holden at Charleston, on the First Tuesday in July next, to answer to [handwritten] Jacob Williman Daniel Stroble George Bahnbaum[?] + Abraham Markley otherwise called Jacob Williman Daniel Stroble George Bahnbaum[?] + Abraham Markley Executors to the Estate of Bansy[?] Sindaur deceased of a Plea that he Render to them one hundred and Seventy four Pounds Sterling money which to them he owes + from them unjustly detains and so forth [printed] And have you then and there this Writ. WITNESS, the Hble J F Grimke Esq. One of the Justices of the said Court at Charleston, the twenty first Day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty-nine and in the thirteenth Year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
