Description
Affadavitt, signed by Lyman Hall, concerning certifcates from Jacob Read, 1780.
Transcription
at the Request of the Hon. Jacob Read of Charleston in the State of South Carolina; I do Certify that during my Administration of the Gov.t of the State of Georgia; viz Sometime in the Month of April or May 1780 the said Mr. Read did Apply to me + produce Certificates, to a very Considerable Amount of Certain Amounts, for Supplies, which on his Affidavitt I believe to be the same therein mentioned +Urged that the Amount Should be wrote off Bond or Bonds which he had given to the State on pur-chasing Confiscated Property, which Certificates & Accounts ought to be Considered, as presented at that [Time?] &[?] have their [illegible] accordingly [signed] Lyman Hall 16th June 1785
