Description
The faculty of Spartanburg Female College, which was a Methodist-related college for women 2 blocks west of the Wofford College campus, included Samuel B. Jones, Samuel Lander, Jane Wofford, and Alice Lomax. Miss Lomax was the granddaughter of Wofford Professor David Duncan and the mother of longtime Wofford history professor David Duncan Wallace.
