Description

Woodside United Methodist is part of the Woodside Cotton Mill Village Historic District. Situated near Greenville, Woodside is a good example of an early 20th century urban textile mill village. The community is centered around the mill founded by John T. Woodside in 1902. The Historic District includes 375 buildings and sites. It is largely intact despite modernization. Woodside Methodist was constructed in 1921. It has a T-shaped floor plan and a gable-end roof. The first-floor façade features a one-story parapeted porch with brick buttresses and a Tudor arch.
